Kettleman City Community Meeting
On January 29, 2010, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger directed the California Environmental Protection Agency (Cal/EPA) and the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) to conduct an investigation of the public health and environmental exposures in Kettlemen City. This community meeting was held on March 25, 2010 to provide an update on the progress of this investigation and gather input from the community to inform the agencies’ respective activities. Since then, Cal/EPA has developed a draft technical work plan that details how the investigation will move forward. The draft technical document is available below in both English and Spanish, and copies have been provided to the local Kettleman City Post Office, Library and Elementary School for residents to view. In addition, all residents received a Frequently Asked Questions document in the mail that serves as a summary of the technical document and is also available below.
